MobileTrade is a Maemo/MeeGo client to web services of trading/auction business systems

A wide range of Trading/Auction Business Systems (TBS) exists.
Some of them use Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
and web services for efficient distributed implementation
of TBS business processes. The project develops a demo C++
application that is a Maemo/MeeGo client to TBS web services.

The project was initiated in 2009 at the Petrozavodsk
State University (PetrSU), PetrSU-Nokia-NSN laboratory of
wireless and mobile technologies (http://oss.fruct.org).
Scribo belongs to the family of FRUCT research
projects (http://fruct.org/).

The current version supports browsing from a local database only.
A sample database is provided, see app/resources/local.db.

In long-term plans, MobileTrade will also allow browsing goods lists remotely,
making customer orders and sales, producing various reports,
and synchronizing with TBS via web-service.
Our solution aims at supporting different web-services that a user selects.
User interface focuses on ergonomic and touch-screen properties.

A target mobile device is Nokia Internet tablet N900.
The system platform is Maemo/MeeGo (Maemo5). MobileTrade is written in C++.
GUI is Qt-based. Network uses QtSoap. Local data base is implemented using SQLite.
