Smile :: The Idea.

When people are happy, they smile.

We have a duty to our customers to help them smile as much as possible.

We could implement smiles around MeeGo apps and websites with a small widget.
Pressing on Smile buttons should transfer sketched smiley faces. :)

We can link a monetary tip rating to each smile, so different people can offer different amounts of tips.
The simplest gratitude returned is the current hand drawn smiley from the users' sketchfont.

Click it when you are pleased with something you saw/read/did that makes you smile.
Capture the smile.

Simple and personal.

Users are able to redeem their virtual tips and top up their account as required.

Add this to all places displaying a user or app information dialogue for ease of use.
User configurable coin size, can choose the size of the coin from 0 to X.
Some people are happy to tip a great amount whilst others will stay low. :)
The configuration for this should be done on a global level, you simply assign a value to your smilies and that is used whenever you press the button.

A single webhit registering the Smile is required, its return value is the custom smiley sketch.

Seed all user accounts with an initial purse which they can pass to others.
This gives incentive for people to use it and fill in their smiles.

Embed the widget in lots of apps as a single simple UI element.
The operator can top-up his coins or withdraw any rewards as required.
The operator should not be allowed to withdraw more than he/she/they have received.

All through MeeGo Apps and sites, this is a single way to say thanks to someone and receive personalised feedback.
It could be expanded into IM/SMS/IRC too by capturing and replacing normal smiley faces with custom sketch smiles.

When used on a project, groups and collaborations can work out their own sub distribution equation.

We can have a smile gallery showing all the happy faces.

Due to the complexities of handling international currency (even if just virtual tips) will require a serious amount of management to handle.
It does have the potential to revolutionise community participation, since users can gain reward for simple tasks.

Setting up this system will allow us to play a decisive role in the happiness transaction.
